Prophet Kobus van Rensburg, together with his wife Annalise, have been in full-time ministry since 1980. Kobus and Annalise are the senior pastors and sole founders of Spirit Word Ministries. Although miracles were always evident in their ministry, it cannot be compared to the last ten years.
More than 14 000 cripples have miraculously thrown away crutches and stood up out of wheelchairs. Testimonies of cancers and HIV being healed are documented almost daily. People from all over South Africa and other international destinations travel far distances to the Miracle Meetings.
It is every christians desire to see the spectacular acts of the almighty. When we see signs, wonders, miracles and healings it comes as a day today awakening and acknowledgement that truly God is with us. When we use the name of Jesus, something is bound to happen. James 5:15 says the prayer of faith will heal the sick...This is what happens in our services.
It is our joy to proclaim it with all boldness that truly Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, (Hebrews 13:8). Our saviour Jesus Christ has commisioned us to go to all ends of the earth to preach the gospel, heal the sick, cleanse the lepers and raise the dead. This is our conviction as a ministry and we have decided to take up the responsibility.
Sick people are brought in every service and as much as we see a lot of sick people carried into our meetings, we also see the sick, crippled and oppressed truely set free by the power of God. In many occasions you would hear Prophet Kobus say, "Sir/lady, your sins are forgiven, I set you free by the grace of God, rise up and walk," and they start walking.
There is no method used here to heal the sick, sometimes Prophet Kobus would just walk to the person dying with cancer or HIV and hug them, then they are healed. It is very evident that these people are healed by the love of God.
In some services they bring a lot of people that are bedridden and Prophet Kobus would just say, "All of those in beds, wheelchairs and crutches can you hear me? Start walking in Jesus' name," and they walk away from their beds, throw away their crutches or get out of the wheelchairs. The excitement that is in the house when miracles take place is just overwhelming.
Like Prophet Kobus always says, "It is God's grace that enables and qualifies us to perform miracles, signs and wonders, and all the Glory is given to the Almighty God. To understand what goes on in these services, one must experience it for themselves.
